Tanyard Springs, Arkansas is beautiful.  We went hiking in the forest which lead us to the highest point in Arkansas, Petit Jean Mountain.   The name of the mountain is connected to a love story about a French girl who disguised herself as a cabin boy and crossed the ocean with her lover, Chavet.  She died and was buried on top of the mountain overlooking the Arkansas River.

We visited the automobile museum which included a cherry red '56 Chevy, my dad had one and it was his favorite car.

The Great Loop

Oct. 17, 2011
We are off to cruise the Great Loop!  This has been a long time dream of Ken's to travel by water to tour eastern North America and Canada, a distance of over 7,000 miles.

We will start our adventure at Joe Wheeler State Park, Rogersville, Alabama at  America's Great Loop Cruiser's Association, AGLCA, fall rendezvous. We will be one of 57 boats at the park and over 240 "loopers" attending.

Loop Dreams is being trailered from Lake Lewisville, TX to Florence, Alabama. She is packed up and on her way.

We will be stopping at Tanyard Springs and staying in a log cabin.  Time to relax and enjoy nature after a hectic month of moving into a new home and bon voyage party with our family and friends.
