May 20, Liberty State Park Anchorage
The anchorage was quiet except for one fishing boat buzzing us at 5am.  There were barges and Coast Guard boats going in and out of the area as well, and everyone was courteous except for one boater.  We woke up to a heavy fog but later in the day it lifted.
We launched the dingy and she started right up and we took off for the Statue of Liberty.  The mile ride was choppy and along the way we passed Ellis Island.  Because of the ferry traffic we could only get a side shot of Lady Liberty, but it was a great experience.
We shared this quiet anchorage with two small sail boats.
Passing the back of Ellis Island.  For now you can not tour the island because the damage incurred
by Hurricane Sandy, October 2012.
