9-18 Peoria, IL

Yeah!  We caught up with the group at the Starved Rock lock today.  They had to wait for 2 hours because there was a double tow locking.  As soon as we arrived we followed the group into the lock.
Northern Star captained by Craig and Kathy has joined the group and they just started their loop.

Pulling into Illinois Valley Yacht Club Marina we experienced the same problem, the starboard engine got stuck in forward.  The dock hand was going to put us in a tight slip and we let him know we had trouble and was heading for a dock wall. Ken turned off the engine and came in on one engine and we pulled up to the wall next to the fuel dock.  While the dock hand was racing to help us I had to leap off the swim plat form onto the concrete wall...does this sound familiar?  Ken managed to get Loop Dreams in without putting a scratch on her.  Way to go Captain Ken!  We tied her up and later discovered the cable to that gear shift is bent.  We called the mechanic and he started the search for the cable. Looks like we will be staying here for a few days. Bummer!  Later that evening everyone met up at the Ivy Yacht Club for an enjoyable dinner. We traveled 83 miles today and turned in early.
Tugs on shore!
