We left early for Fort Custer National Cemetery with Diane and Larry from Detroit.
Ken has never had the opportunity to visit his father's grave since the funeral. We had a beautiful day to travel to Augusta, MI which was a few hours away.
After paying our respects we went to Saugatuck to tour the quaint town with a number of art galleries and specialty shops. Later that evening we revisited Grand Haven to view the world famous Musical Fountains which has synchronized programs, with water, music and multi-color lights. It was delightful!

The Musical Fountain was designed by a local engineer, William Morris Booth and built in 1962. This fountain was based on a Przystawick musical fountain shown seen in Germany and was the largest musical fountain in the world when it was built. The show produces a simple Dancing Waters display with a an array of lights. It was breathtaking! |
