We toured the historic town of South Haven and walked to the
Michigan Maritime Museum. The museum exhibits
celebrated the 200th anniversary of the War of 1812. After lunch our
fresh water pump arrived and off we went to St. Joseph where a mechanic is scheduled to work on the boat
Tuesday. We could not find a mechanic in
South Haven.
Easterly winds today and we are enjoying the calm seas. We are having a hot day at 91 degrees. It is nice to be in shorts for awhile! Once in the harbor passing the RR swing bridge we headed toward Pier 33 marina. Right in front of the marina we experienced shallow water at 4 feet deep! We have scheduled a mechanic to replace the fresh water pump tomorrow. It will be a good day to stay in a marina because they have a small craft warning for Tuesday.
