July 2, Long Island Lock

We left Dows Lake around 12:30pm and our destination was Long Island Lock.  Diane and Larry had time to catch a bus into Ottawa and do some shopping before we left.

Larry was great helping us with the lines at the locks. At one of the locks Diane was able to get off the boat and take some pictures.  We were amazed how one person cranked open and shut the swing bridge next to the lock.

That evening we enjoyed a batch of fried smelt.  It was a good day boating.
